HMT revival package at final stage, says Union Minister

Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy has reportedly said that the revival bundle for Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) is successful its last stage.

The assurance was conveyed during the Minister’s sojourn to the Kalamassery portion of the institution connected Friday (May 22) and successful a telephonic speech with the National Confederation of HMT Unions president K. Chandran Pillai, according to a property merchandise issued by the unions.

The Minister reportedly said that the revival bundle would see colony of status benefits of erstwhile employees, wage revision, modernisation of the instrumentality tools division, and caller recruitment to fortify quality resources.

“The revival bundle was archetypal announced during the Minister’s sojourn to the Kalamassery portion connected August 19, 2024. Subsequently, a high-level method committee chaired by NITI Aayog subordinate Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat was constituted to hole the package. The unions said the Minister’s latest sojourn had renewed hopes among the employees of the cash-strapped company.

HMT president N. Ramesh Kumar, wide manager J.K. Prasad, CITU leaders Krishnadas P. and S. Shibu, Linson and Arish of the INTUC, and the BMS’ T.G. Sreejesh were contiguous during the visit.
