The Kerala High Court has sought instructions from the Central and State governments connected the request to found much Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) peculiar courts successful Kerala to perceive narcotics-related cases.
The tribunal was proceeding a batch of petitions, including by Ernakulam autochthonal Sumi Joseph, the parent of 2 school-going children, seeking effectual measures by the State authorities to curb the usage of narcotics.
Under the NDPS Act, the State authorities is empowered to represent peculiar courts for the proceedings of offences nether the Act.
