Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has termed an Allahabad High Court bid to record an FIR against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi successful an alleged dual citizenship lawsuit arsenic astonishing and unwarranted.

“The Allahabad High Court ordering an FIR to probe into baseless allegations of British citizenship against Rahul Gandhi is astonishing and amounts to placing an unnecessary load connected the enforcement by the judiciary,” the erstwhile Rajasthan Chief Minister said. “Earlier, akin petitions had been dismissed by the Allahabad High Court successful July 2025 and by the main justness of the Supreme Court successful 2019. Despite that, ordering an enquiry present is beyond comprehension,” Mr. Gehlot said.
