Hearing to continue over excise policy

The Telangana High Court connected Monday adjourned to Tuesday the proceeding of a writ petition challenging the excise argumentation for the years 2025-27 announced by the State government.

The petitioner Gaddam Mallaiah contended that the authorities had fixed an ‘exorbitant fee’ of ₹ 3 lakh to use for a liquor store licence. This ‘non-refundable’ exertion interest would marque it hard for persons adjacent to use for the licence. He besides stated that determination was nary concession successful the interest for applicants from the Gouda community, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. The proceeding would proceed connected Tuesday.
