The Kerala High Court connected Tuesday stayed the bid by the Thalassery Additional District Court-III cancelling the bail of the 17 accused successful the Shuhaib execution case.
The accused had earlier requested the proceedings tribunal to defer the cross-examination of the witnesses successful the case, until the High Court disposed of the appeal. Following this, the Thalassery proceedings tribunal had cancelled their bail connected Monday.
The accused, including Akash Thillankery, approached the High Court contending that the bid to cancel bail and to remand the accused by the proceedings tribunal was unlawful. The High Court considered this contention and acceptable speech the proceedings tribunal order, stating that the bid was seemingly illegal.
Shuhaib, a Youth Congress idiosyncratic from Edayannur, was murdered successful February 2018 allegedly by CPI(M) activists.
