HC notices to Speaker, seven MLAs over disqualification dismissal

The Telangana High Court connected Wednesday issued notices to 7 MLAs successful abstracted writ petitions challenging the dismissal of their disqualification applications by the Assembly Speaker. 

A seat of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin issued notices to MLAs T. Prakash Goud, A. Gandhi, Tellam Venkat Rao, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Kale Yadaiah, Danam Nagender and Parige Srinivas Reddy.

Mr. Danam Nagender was already issued notices precocious by the Bench successful a abstracted writ petition filed by BJP level person A. Maheshwar Reddy questioning the Speaker’s bid dismissing the exertion seeking disqualification of Nagender. 

The caller notices to the 7 MLAs, including Danam Nagender, were issued successful the writ petitions filed by BRS MLAs Kalvakuntla Sanjay, K.P. Vivekanand, Palle Rajeshwar Reddy Chinta Prabhakar, Padi Kaushik Reddy and G. Jagdish Reddy. The Bench led by the CJ issued notices to the Speaker-cum-Tribunal nether the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.  

The MLAs to whom notices were issued were elected connected BRS tickets to the Assembly and yet switched loyalty to the Congress party. The BRS MLAs filed applications earlier the Speaker of the Assembly seeking their disqualification accusing them of changing the enactment and citing anti-defection instrumentality provisions. 

They aboriginal moved the Supreme Court seeking absorption for speedy disposal of their applications. The Speaker dismissed applications seeking disqualification of these 7 MLAs.
