The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has dismissed a petition filed successful 2020 challenging the law validity of assorted provisions of Tamil Nadu Bovine Breeding Act, 2019.
The tribunal was proceeding a petition filed by S. Venkatesh of Madurai who contended the Act has been brought without immoderate technological survey and the provisions were violative of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, Biological Diversity Act, 2002, the Environment (Protection ) Act, 1986 and besides the Constitution.
