HC directs State to deposit entire sales amount of Tasmac shops in Dindigul district to the credit of land acquisition case

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has directed the State governmet to deposit the full income magnitude of the Tasmac shops successful Dindigul territory each time to the recognition of the Land Acquisition lawsuit connected the record of the Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority / Principal District Judge, Dindigul, till further others, for not complying with the earlier bid of the court.

A Division Bench of Justices P. Velmurugan and K.K. Ramakrishnan observed that the acquisition was of the twelvemonth 2017, Land Acquisition Original Petitions were of the twelvemonth 2019 and the District Court passed the grant successful 2021.

Aggrieved against the grant passed by the District Court the State had filed the appeals. The tribunal portion disposing the appeals successful March 2025 directed the appellants to deposit the reduced magnitude successful 8 weeks. Till today, the appellants neither complied with the bid nor filed immoderate Special Leave Petition, the tribunal observed and passed the direction.
