Police successful southbound portion person arrested 5 persons from Madurai, Theni and Thoothukudi districts and seized 5 litres of hashish lipid and 18 kg of ganja.
According to police, Vadipatti constabulary successful Madurai territory apprehended an accused, Manikuyil, and seized 6 kg of ganja based connected circumstantial quality inputs, a connection said.
Meanwhile, Kadamalaigundu constabulary successful Theni district, arrested 2 accused, Pandi and Ramesh, and recovered 12 kg of ganja.
Further, Thalamuthu Nagar constabulary successful Thoothukudi district, arrested 2 accused, Rajesh and Francis, and seized 5 litres of hashish oil.
The seized hashish lipid is estimated to beryllium worthy implicit ₹1 crore successful the illicit market.
All cases person been registered nether applicable provisions of the NDPS Act.
