Hari Nadar arrested along with associate in multi-crore loan fraud

Hari Nadar and his subordinate were arrested by Central Crime Branch (CCB) successful a lawsuit involving cheating of ₹70 lakh connected the committedness of arranging a ₹35 crore loan.

A. Hari Nadar alias Harigopala Krishnan Hari Nadar runs an outfit called Shathriya Sandror Padai and faces respective cases for cheating.

According to police, Anand Kumar of Koyambedu, who runs a logistics concern had approached Balasubramanian alias Balu to grow his business.

Through Balu, Anand Kumar came successful interaction with Hari Nadar and others via WhatsApp calls. They assured him that they would put a indebtedness of ₹35 crore and demanded ₹70 lakh arsenic processing fee.

Believing their assurance, the complainant transferred ₹70 lakh to the accused persons’ slope relationship connected August 28, 2025. He was aboriginal fixed 4 request drafts of Bank of Baroda amounting to ₹35 crore.

When 3 of these request drafts were submitted to the bank, they were recovered to beryllium fake. Realising that helium had been cheated, Anand Kumar lodged a ailment with the Greater Chennai Police Commissioner.

Based connected the complaint, a lawsuit was registered by the Central Crime Branch and probe was taken up. The probe revealed that Hari Nadar of Tirunelveli was the premier mastermind. Along with his associates, helium had created a fake concern institution named “Global Finance Company,” opened a nominal relationship successful IDFC Bank, fraudulently obtained ₹70 lakh from the complainant, and issued 4 fake request drafts to cheat him.

After sustained investigation, constabulary arrested the accused G Balasubramanian, 58, of Ponnammampettai, Salem, and A. Hari Nadar, 42, of Tirunelveli district. From Hari Nadar, currency of ₹12.5 lakh, 7 mobile phones, and 2 dongle devices were seized.

After interrogation, some the arrested accused were produced earlier the Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CCB & CBCID), Egmore and were remanded to judicial custody arsenic per tribunal orders, said police.
