Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, on with Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat and Visakhapatnam (East) MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, inspected the Horse Park country successful Mudasarlova Park present connected Wednesday. The sojourn followed the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC)’s determination to cancel the Horse Park tenders.
Speaking connected the occasion, the Mayor said that the tenders were cancelled arsenic the statement had been drawn up nether a flawed argumentation introduced by the erstwhile government. He said the assembly had decided to re-invite tenders and make the parkland successful a transparent and inclusive mode for the payment of each sections of the public.
Clarifying the Telugu Desam Party’s stand, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the enactment was not opposed to establishing the Horse Park but objected to the irregular tendering process followed earlier. Under the erstwhile policy, GVMC was required to carnivore each operational costs — including the acquisition of horses, fodder, shed maintenance, energy bills, and caretaker expenses — portion the relation had to wage lone ₹3,000 per period to GVMC. The Mayor termed the statement “inappropriate” and said the re-tendering process would guarantee the park’s improvement into a pleasant, public-friendly space.
Mr. Ramakrishna Babu said plans were being prepared to further make Mudasarlova Park and acceptable up a skating parkland for children.
GVMC Chief Engineer Satyanarayana Raju, Zonal Commissioner Shivaprasad, and different officials were present.
