A goods bid carrying gunny bags from West Bengal arrived successful Thanjavur connected Tuesday, May 12, and were moved to the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation godowns.
The Corporation had placed orders for gunny bags for procurement of paddy astatine the nonstop acquisition centres. A full of 27.30 lakh gunny bags successful 5,460 lots, each having 500 bags, were brought to Thanjavur successful the 42-wagon goods train. They were unloaded from the wagons and moved to TNCSC godowns successful the delta portion successful lorries, sources said.
