Government proposes E100 fuel approval

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a draught notification proposing to recognise E100 (or 100% ethanol) arsenic an approved automotive fuel, clearing the mode for certification and large-scale accumulation of vehicles susceptible of moving wholly connected ethanol.

The projected amendments subordinate to Rule 115, sub-rule (18) of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR), which governs the designation and specification of alternate fuels successful India.
