Teachers of government-aided colleges and affiliated to the MUTA (Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa and Alagappa University Teachers’ Association) staged sit-in protestation connected their respective assemblage premises connected Wednesday demanding contiguous disbursal of vocation advancement strategy wage arrears.

The protesting teachers said the Tamil Nadu Government, which was giving the vocation advancement wage to authorities assemblage teachers, was refusing to widen the aforesaid privilege to the teachers of government-aided colleges successful six regions of Tamil Nadu for the past 4 years. Consequently, the Associate Professors could not usher further students successful the Ph.D. programme.
