A pawnshop adjacent Tiruvallur was burgled aft miscreants drilled a spread successful its rear partition and decamped with golden jewellery, metallic articles, and cash.
Police said Butharam, 46, owns the pawnshop. On Tuesday morning, helium received a telephone saying that the rear partition of his pawnshop had been broken.
Butharam rushed to the spot and upon inspection, recovered that 4 sovereigns of golden jewellery, 176 grams of metallic articles, and ₹20,000 successful currency were missing.
On receiving a ailment from him, Pullarambakkam constabulary registered a case. A probe is nether way.
