The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) connected Saturday initiated the auction of properties belonging to long-standing spot taxation defaulters aft exhausting each betterment measures and providing multiple opportunities for payment. Nearly 7,000 properties crossed the city together owe astir ₹437 crore successful unpaid spot tax.
Even aft much than 60 days from the day of attachment, respective spot owners did not wide their arrears, forcing the authorities to proceed with the auctions, officials said. Starting with properties that had the highest arrears, Joint Commissioners conducted auctions on Saturday.
