Four persons were arrested connected Tuesday (January 20, 2026) for allegedly assaulting a rental car operator and robbing him of cash, a mobile telephone and different valuables here.
The victim, Anbar Ali (20), a rental car operator from Erode, was hired by Mouleeswaran (21) of Erode to prime up his friends adjacent Old Railway Station Road. Police said that upon reaching the spot connected Monday (January 19, 2026), Mouleeswaran, on with 3 others, assaulted Ali and fled with his mobile phone, a bracelet, ₹1,000 successful currency and the car.
