Four held for illegal possession of e-cigarettes 

The Triplicane Police person arrested 4 men for illegally possessing banned e-cigarettes for sale. Based connected a tip-off received by the Triplicane Police Inspector, a squad conducted surveillance astatine a lodge connected Lal Begum Cross Street, Triplicane, connected Sunday afternoon. Following surveillance, they arrested 4 persons namely- Mohamed Ajisullah, 32, of Triplicane, Prabhakaran, 28, of Batlagundu, Dindigul district, Kadhar Hussain, 34, of Triplicane and Thameem Ansari, 28, of Vyasarpadi.

Police seized 83 banned e-cigarettes from them. Further probe revealed that the accused had been purchasing e-cigarettes from Delhi and Mumbai done courier and selling them illegally successful Chennai.

Meanwhile, a squad led by the Inspector of Periamet Police conducted surveillance adjacent Park Railway Station connected Sunday day and arrested a man, Jitendra Sharma, 32, from Bihar, for possessing ganja-laced chocolates. Police seized 35 ganja chocolates weighing a full of 175 grams from him.
