The Puttur Rural Police person arrested 4 persons and seized 6.39 grams of MDMA worthy ₹ 50,000 from the accused.
The constabulary gave names of the arrested persons arsenic Mohammed Harshad, 33, Mohammed Arish, 31, Ibrahim Ashraf alias Roza Ashraf, 46 and Mustafah, 46.
The constabulary said the 4 accused were recovered consuming drugs and besides selling it Bettampady, Reja and Arlapadavu areas nether Puttur Rural Police Station limits. The constabulary seized 0.87 grams of cannabis, 2 cars, and a fewer mobile phones from the accused. A lawsuit was registered against the accused for offences punishable nether Sections 8 (c) and 21 (b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and 25 (iB)(B) of Arms Act.
