Unwilling to wage the bribe, Gunasekaran complained to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC), Tiruchi, connected June 13, 2009 and a lawsuit was registered. A trap was laid and a DVAC squad arrested Ramaswamy erstwhile helium took ₹10,000, a DVAC property merchandise said.
