A Special Court successful Bengaluru has convicted V. Muniyappa, erstwhile managing manager (MD) of the Karnataka Council for Technical Upgradation, successful a disproportionate assets lawsuit investigated by the Karnataka Lokayukta.

The lawsuit was registered by the Lokayukta successful 2014 nether the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Investigators alleged that Muniyappa had amassed wealthiness disproportionate to his known sources of income.
