A Special Court present sentenced a erstwhile Headmaster of Government Madrasa-I-Azam Higher Secondary School, Anna Salai, to 2 years of imprisonment for demanding and accepting ₹1,500 arsenic bribe for issuing a transportation certificate.
According to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), successful 2012, 1 Akthavullah wanted to assistance his neighbour Harun’s son, Sadiq Basha, get a job. To bash this, helium tried to get a transportation certificate (TC) from Madrasa-I-Azam school, wherever Sadiq Basha had studied up to Class VIII.
The past headmaster, Abdul Hakeem demanded ₹2,000. When Akthavullah refused, the headmaster demanded ₹1,500.
Unwilling to wage the bribe, Akthavullah lodged a ailment with the DVAC.
Following this, the DVAC officers laid a trap and arrested Abdul Hakeem portion receiving ₹1,500 connected April 12, 2012.
At the decision of trial, Special Court for DVAC cases sentenced the erstwhile headmaster to imprisonment and imposed a good of ₹1,000 connected him.
