A lawsuit has been registered against 10 persons, including erstwhile Congress Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan and his wife, nether respective sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, pursuing a tribunal bid successful transportation with a lawsuit of alleged transgression trespass and menace to beingness successful Puducherry.

The lawsuit was registered by the P.C.R Cell of the territorial constabulary pursuing an bid issued by the Second Additional Sessions Judge Court nether sections 296, 329 (1), 351 (2), 351 (3), 335, 336 (2) of BNS work with 3 (5) of the enactment and 3 (1) (f) (g) of SC/ST Act, 1989. According to police, the complainant Periyasamy, a nonmigratory of Kamaraj Street successful Thattanchavady, belonging to the Scheduled Caste assemblage was moving a petrol pump successful a leased spot owned by Mr. Shahjahan’s household for respective years astatine Thattanchavady. He has accused the household of trying to “grab leasehold spot by wrongful occupation”.

“Further, the accused persons person joined unneurotic and criminally trespassed into the concern premises and tried to evict the complainant from his lawful possession and threatened him with dire consequences. Based connected the tribunal order, we registered a lawsuit and started investigation,” said a constabulary officer.
