Former AAP MLA Rajesh Gupta joins BJP

Former two-time Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajesh Gupta joined the Bharatiya Janata Party connected Saturday, alleging that helium was “sidelined and betrayed”.

“When AAP was founded, galore salient persons enthusiastically joined hands with Arvind Kejriwal, but helium betrayed everyone, and 1 by one, they each chose to permission him... today, unfortunately, I person besides joined that list,” said the erstwhile Wazirpur MLA.

Countering the allegations, AAP Delhi portion president Saurabh Bharadwaj said Mr. Gupta had sought a councillor summons for his woman aft losing the 2025 Assembly election. “When the enactment chose to tract grassroots workers successful each MCD 12 bypolls wards, Gupta archetypal supported an autarkic campaigner and past decided to permission the party,” said Mr. Bharadwaj.
