Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj has chosen 5 gram panchayats of Udupi territory for the nationalist Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar for 2025.

The panchayats are Mudradi, Vandse, Madamakki, Sanoor and Hakladi. They are among six gram panchayats selected successful Karnataka for the award. The sixth panchayat selected for the purasakar successful the State is Halanayakanahalli nether Bengaluru Urban district.
