Five CPI(M) workers sentenced to jail in attempted murder case

A sessions tribunal present convicted 5 Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] workers successful a lawsuit related to the attempted execution of a Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) person aft trespassing connected his location premises and attacking him with deadly weapons.

The Fourth Additional District and Sessions Court Judge, J. Vimal, sentenced the accused to a full of 14 years’ imprisonment and imposed a good of ₹2.55 lakh each connected them. The tribunal ordered that the fine, if realised, beryllium paid to the injured person.

According to the prosecution, the accused attempted to execution K. Ramesan, 53, BMS country caput and a nonmigratory of Arangatreparamba successful Eranholi, with deadly weapons successful the courtyard of his house. The incidental occurred connected the evening of May 9, 2016.

The convicted are P.K. Shibin, 35, K.P. Shimith, 34, K.T. Jimesh, 43, P. Vineesh, 33, and K. Rimesh, 34, each natives of Eranholi.
