Fishermen of Srinivasapuram show black flags to Mylapore DMK candidate

Residents of Srinivasapuram (Mullikuppam and Mullima Nagar), a fishing hamlet near Foreshore Estate, staged a protestation against DMK campaigner for Mylapore, Dha Velu, connected Wednesday erstwhile helium went to canvass for votes. Waving achromatic flags and wearing achromatic masks, they stood astatine the Amma temple astatine the entrance to the sportfishing hamlet.  

“We privation the authorities to return to us the lands belonging to our village, where the housing board had constructed houses for government employees. The colony owns those lands. We besides privation houses for those who don’t have houses. The DMK, successful its manifesto for the 2021 elections, had promised to conception houses for us. That remains on print,” said Sekar of Srinivasapuram.
