Chikkamagaluru Town Police registered an FIR against BJP campaigner D.N. Jeevaraj, erstwhile Deputy Commissioner K.N. Ramesh, erstwhile Returning Officer Vedamurthy and others connected the complaint of tampering with ballot papers, among different offences, connected May 3 — hours aft Jeevaraj was declared the victor pursuing verification and recount of postal ballots.

The lawsuit was registered based connected a ailment filed by Sudhir Kumar Murolli, canvass counting cause for Congress campaigner T.D. Raje Gowda.
