High-speed upwind accompanied by dense rainfall lashed parts of Bhadravati taluk successful Shivamogga territory of Karnataka connected April 26 evening, bringing down hundreds of arecanut and coconut trees.

The wind, which lasted astir 15 minutes astir 6 p.m., near farmers devastated. Many mislaid years of hard labour and concern that had gone into processing their plantations. Full-grown trees that had been yielding for the past 10 to 15 years were flattened. While galore snapped successful the middle, immoderate were uprooted entirely.
