TMC (Moopanar) president G.K. Vasan connected Sunday urged the State authorities to widen the benefits of the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS), precocious introduced for authorities employees, to panchayat secretaries. He pointed to the protests being organised by the relation of panchayat secretaries for the past 5 days, pressing a slew of demands, and condemned their detention by the police. Mr. Vasan blamed the authorities for not promptly addressing the demands of the protesting panchayat secretaries and said this concern had led to the disruption of the day-to-day administrative enactment astatine the colony level. ,
In presumption of the upcoming Pongal festival, the State authorities should clasp talks with the relation of panchayat secretaries and see their request for extending the benefits of TAPS.
