Expert team’s three-day visit to Polavaram project concludes

The three-day sojourn of a squad of overseas experts to the Polavaram irrigation task concluded connected Wednesday, pursuing extended tract inspections and elaborate method reappraisal meetings.

Over the 3 days, the squad conducted astir 9 hours of field-level inspections covering Gap-1, Gap-2, D-Hill, G-Hill, upstream and downstream portions of the main dam, the diaphragm partition (D-wall), dewatering channel, rockfill and clay stockpiles, and ungraded strengthening works astatine Main Dam Gap-1. This was followed by astir 12 hours of in-depth reappraisal meetings.

The reappraisal meetings during the archetypal 2 days were chaired by Mr. Bakshi, portion the last day’s gathering was chaired by Mr. Ramesh Kumar.
