Enforcement drive on private buses continues in Andhra Pradesh

The Transport Department continued its peculiar enforcement thrust crossed Andhra Pradesh connected All India Permit buses connected Sunday, and successful 2 days (Saturday and Sunday), the enforcement teams booked a full of 361 cases for assorted violations and seized 40 vehicles successful districts crossed the State.

It was followed by Palnadu territory - 36 cases booked and compounding interest of ₹2,50,700 realised, Prakasam territory - 34 cases booked and a good of ₹89,810 collected, Tirupati territory - 25 cases booked and a good of ₹2,40,000 collected, Chittoor territory - 8 cases booked and a good of ₹2,32,100 collected, Kurnool territory - 14 cases booked, and a compounding interest of ₹72,050 and Motor Vehicle Tax of ₹96,000 collected, NTR territory - 42 cases booked, 1 conveyance seized and large violations found, Annamayya territory - 21 cases booked, six buses seized for information and licence related irregularities, B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema territory - 7 cases booked and 3 buses seized, and successful Krishna territory 8 cases were booked and 4 buses seized for unauthorised operations.

The enforcement revealed respective information and operational lapses, the astir communal violations being lack of occurrence extinguishers (83) cases, unauthorised conveyance alterations (63 cases) and different miscellaneous irregularities (193 cases). Additionally, 26 buses were recovered without due rider lists, portion 11 each lacked valid records and exigency doors.
