Eighth driverless metro train of Bengaluru metro’s Yellow Line reaches Hebbagodi depot

The eighth driverless trainset for the Yellow Line of Namma Metro has reached the Hebbagodi depot, officials said. The six-car rake arrived connected Monday greeting aft opening its travel from Kolkata connected January 10.

The bid sets were dispatched by Kolkata-based Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (TRSL) and transported to Bengaluru connected trailers.

Trial runs of the latest rake are scheduled to commence connected Tuesday. At present, services run astatine 10-minute intervals. Once investigating is completed and commercialized operations begin, authorities expect headways to amended to astir 8–10 minutes, enhancing work frequence for commuters connected the corridor.

The 19.15-km Yellow Line runs betwixt R.V. Road and Bommasandra. It was inaugurated connected August 10, 2025, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with rider services commencing the adjacent day.
