Eight injured as omni bus rams sand laden lorry

Eight passengers were injured aft an omni autobus bound for Rameswaram from Chennai rammed a sand-laden lorry connected Tiruchi - Karaikudi nationalist road astatine Melur successful the territory successful the aboriginal hours of Tuesday. 

The mishap occured aft the autobus operator seemingly tried to overtake the lorry that was proceeding ahead. The autobus rammed the lorry causing injuries to 8 passengers including a one-year-old child, said constabulary sources.
