Eight children of an Anganwadi centre of Mittakandala colony successful Pamulapadu of the territory were hospitalised connected Wednesday nighttime owed to suspected nutrient poisoning astatine the centre. According to District Women and Child Welfare Officer P. Leelavathi Devi, an enquiry was conducted into the incidental pursuing directions from Minister for Women and Child Welfare G. Sandhya Rani. The children of Anganwadi centre 3 complained of vomiting and diarrhoea and were shifted to hospital.
As determination were reports that the children fell sick aft consuming nutrient astatine the Anganwadi centre, District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya said nutrient samples person been collected and sent for analysis. The results are awaited, she said and added the children were discharged.
