The Bengaluru zonal bureau of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided online gaming companies for alleged cheating and wealth laundering done crypto currency.
According to officials, the premises of 2 online gaming companies, owning Winzo app and Gamezkraft (pocket52.com), operating retired of Bengaluru and Delhi, were searched.
A full of 11 premises were searched, retired of which 5 are successful Bengaluru, 4 successful Delhi and 2 successful Gurugram.
According to the ED: “Search is being carried retired astatine the firm bureau premises of these gaming operators on with residence of respective CEO/COO/CFO.”
Some persons person filed FIRs accusing these gaming companies of manipulating the algorithm of the app, putting gamers astatine a disadvantage.
“During the search, we unearthed that promoters ain crypto wallets, indicating laundering done cryptocurrencies,” the ED claimed.
