The Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached movable and immovable properties amounting to ₹.39.45 crore, belonging to the Al-Falah Charitable Trust and its managing trustee Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui.

The assets see residential premises belonging to Mr. Siddiqui successful Delhi’s Jamia Nagar; cultivation onshore astatine Dhauj colony successful Faridabad, Haryana, located adjacent to the Al-Falah University campus; and demat holdings, slope balances and fixed deposits belonging to the managing trustee and the Trust. The full worth of attachment successful the lawsuit present stands astatine ₹144.09 crore. Mr. Siddiqui is presently successful judicial custody.

It is alleged that Al-Falah University, promoted by the Al-Falah Charitable Trust, falsely projected expired NAAC ‘A’ people accreditations arsenic valid and besides claimed non-existent designation nether the University Grants Commission Act. Also, Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences and Research Centre was allegedly engaged successful malpractices, including “on-paper faculty” and “fake patients”, etc. to unafraid National Medical Commission approvals.

In January, the ED filed a prosecution ailment against Mr. Siddiqui and the Trust. It alleged procreation of ₹493.24 crore arsenic proceeds of transgression from 2016-17 to 2024-25. “...proceeds were diverted to entities controlled by Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui and his household members, including Karkun Construction & Developers, Amla Enterprises LLP and Diyala Construction & Developers Pvt Ltd.,” it said, adding that the funds were further sent abroad.
