EC serves notices on Ramakrishnan, Thahiliya

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has served notices connected T.P. Ramakrishnan, Left Democratic Front (LDF) campaigner from Perambra successful Kozhikode, and Fathima Thahiliya, the United Democratic Front (UDF) nominee there, pursuing complaints implicit the usage of communal tactics successful their run for the Assembly polls.

UDF activists had complained that nationalist announcements with communal overtones against Ms. Thahiliya were utilized by Mr. Ramakrishnan’s run team. The announcement against Ms. Thahiliya followed the LDF’s ailment that she had sought votes connected the ground of religion. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the LDF has started an interior probe into the allegation against its run team.
