The Election Commission said it has appointed 5 nodal officers for first-level checking (FLC) of the physics voting machines (EVMs) up of adjacent year’s West Bengal Assembly polls.

All the officers hailed from different states, the canvass sheet said successful a statement.

The EC has introduced rules by which the representation of each campaigner would beryllium displayed connected the EVM.

In the 2021 elections, West Bengal had implicit 80,000 booths.
