EAGLE police invoke PIT NDPS Act against 101 persons in State

Officers of the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) invoked Prevention of Illicit Traffic successful Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act, 1988, against 101 accused successful the State, said EAGLE Head and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ake Ravi Krishna.

Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta appreciated the EAGLE constabulary and the portion heads of each Commissionerate's and districts for the measures being taken to combat narcotic drugs and ganja successful the State.

“We booked PIT NDPS Act against 25 cause peddlers successful NTR district, 18 successful Alluri Sitarama Raju, 17 successful East Godavari district, 11 successful Visakhapatnam, 10 each were booked successful Anakapalli and Tirupati districts, 8 successful Vizianagaram and 2 were booked successful Nellore district,” the EAGLE caput told The Hindu on Thursday.
