Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption sleuths (DVAC) connected Wednesday arrested a Tangedco Assistant Engineer connected charges of demanding and accepting bribe from a husbandman for transferring energy transportation successful his name.
According to DVAC, the complainant Ramachandran, a husbandman from Thevaram successful Theni territory had approached the Assistant Engineer Lakshmanan to get the energy transportation successful his father’s sanction transferred to his name. Lashmanan demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 from the husbandman to get the enactment done. Following a complaint, DVAC sleuths laid a trap and arrested Lakshmanan.
