DVAC arrests Adhanakottai sub-inspector on graft charge

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC), Pudukottai, arrested a sub- inspector serving successful the Adhanakottai constabulary presumption successful the territory connected complaint of demanding and obtaining bribe.

The complaint against sub-inspector Shankar was that helium had demanded ₹10,000 arsenic bribe for providing a transcript of the CSR (Community Service Register) successful a civilian quality issue.  According to the DVAC, the sub-inspector demanded the bribe wealth from Veeramani - the complainant - for providing a transcript of the CSR. 

A trap was laid and the DVAC unit caught the sub-inspector erstwhile helium allegedly obtained the bribe magnitude which was subsequently seized. A lawsuit nether the Prevention of Corruption Act had been registered by the DVAC.
