Do not divert land notified for IIT and airport in Hassan, Deve Gowda appeals to M.B. Patil

Former Prime Minister and Rajya Sabha subordinate H.D. Deve Gowda has written to Minister of Industries M.B. Patil, appealing to him to clasp the onshore acquired for mounting up an Indian Institute of Technology and Hassan Airport successful Hassan, and not divert portions of it for immoderate different purpose.

H.D. Revanna, erstwhile Minister and Holenarasipur MLA, shared the contents of the missive with the media successful Hassan connected Monday (April 13). In his letter, Mr. Gowda stated that the authorities acquired 1,057 acres and 24 guntas of onshore done the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board for mounting up an IIT. However, 100 acres of that onshore are being diverted to acceptable up industries done a tender process. He requested the Minister to cancel the tender process and reserve the onshore for the IIT.
