The Thirukkurungudi constabulary person arrested the lad of Thirukkurungudi municipality panchayat chairperson for allegedly taking silt from a waterbody aft violating the permit.
Police said Suresh, lad of Thirukkurungudi municipality panchayat chairperson Esakkithai of DMK, had reportedly got support for taking silt from Periyakulam adjacent Thirukkurungudi. When helium allegedly took ungraded from the waterbody adjacent aft the permitted duration with lapsed passes, 3 tractors carrying silt from the Periyakulam during ‘prohibited timing’ were detained by the Thirukkurungudi police.
As the drivers of the detained tractors told the constabulary that they were taking the ungraded connected instructions from Suresh, the constabulary picked him up for interrogation. After the enquiry reportedly revealed that Suresh had violated the permit, helium was arrested.
Immediately, his friends, relatives and the supporters laid siege to the Thirukkurungudi constabulary presumption connected Monday.
