Opposition person and DMK convenor R. Siva has criticised the authorities for including 2 non-Muslims arsenic members successful the newly-constituted Waqf Board successful Puducherry.
In a statement, Mr. Siva said the lack of Waqf Board successful the Union Territory has delayed implementation of respective payment schemes for members of the Muslim community. With the Assembly elections approaching, the authorities had hurriedly constituted the Board, the connection said.
