Following the ‘Thirukalyanam’, the celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar, the devotees headed to the ‘Thirukalyana Virundhu’, the matrimony feast organised by Pazhamudir Solai Thiruvarul Murugan Bhaktha Sabhai astatine Sethupathi Higher Secondary School successful Madurai connected Tuesday.
The organisers said much than a lakh devotees were treated to the expansive wedding feast. While the preparations for the expansive feast were successful afloat swing, they began serving nutrient to the devotees from Monday greeting itself, they said. Over 400 cooks were engaged successful the process.
Thousands of devotees were treated to Mappillai Alaippu connected Monday evening. The devotees were served ‘ven pongal with sambar, vadai and rava kesari’. On Tuesday, the devotees were served dishes specified arsenic idli sambar, ven pongal, sambar rice, herb rice, curd rice, rootlike pulao, khichdi, vadai and saccharine pongal. People of each ages had travel on with their household and friends.
