Delta farmers plea to officials

Delta farmers person urged the Agriculture Engineering Department (AED) to expedite desilting of insignificant distributary and tract irrigation canals.

In abstracted statements issued recently, Tamil Nadu Cauvery Farmers Protection Association caput Sundara Vimalanathan and Coordination Committee of All Farmers Associations of Tamil Nadu president P. R. Pandian pointed retired that administrative sanctions had been issued by the State authorities for taking up desilting of irrigation canals.
