Death of BDS student in Kannur: accused teachers seek anticipatory bail

Two teachers of Kannur Dental College accused successful the decease of first-year BDS pupil R.L Nithin Raj moved the Thalassery Sessions Court connected Friday seeking anticipatory bail, but were denied immoderate interim protection.

The accused, M.K. Ram, Head of the Department of Dental Anatomy, and K.T. Sangeetha Nambiar, Associate Professor, are facing charges of abetment of termination and caste-based harassment. The tribunal posted their bail plea for proceeding connected April 22 and declined their petition for interim alleviation from arrest.
