DCA seizes suspected Oxytocin injections from cattle feed shops

The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) seized stocks of suspected Oxytocin injections allegedly intended for misuse successful cattle during raids conducted astatine 2 fodder shops successful Patancheru connected Thursday (May 7). According to a property note, officials carried retired the raids astatine Sri Renuka Cattle Feed, located astatine Pati X Road successful Patancheru wherever 40 unlabelled transparent bottles of 200 ml each from proprietor R. Saikrishna Goud was seized. In different raid astatine Laxmi Krishna Cattle Feed successful Chaitanya Nagar Colony, Patancheru, officials seized 120 unlabelled transparent bottles of 250 ml each from proprietor Mylaram Sai Ram.

“The shops were recovered to person illegally stocked injections purported to incorporate Oxytocin for merchantability and misuse successful dairy animals,” the DCA said.

Officials said samples were collected for investigation and further probe would beryllium conducted. Action would beryllium initiated against those progressive arsenic per the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
