Dasara procession: Hulivesha, Goravara Kunita art troupes bag prizes

Mahalingeshwara Hulivesha troupe from Padu Bailooru successful Udupi territory bagged the archetypal prize for its show successful this year’s expansive Dasara procession. The apical honour carries a currency prize of ₹15,000.

The 2nd and 3rd prizes nether the Goravara Kunita class went to Sri Bhakta Kanakadasa Goravara Kunita Kala Sangha of Ramasamudra municipality successful Chamarajanagar and Sri Sarapani Mailaralingeshwara Goravara troupe from Mysuru respectively. The 2nd prize carries a currency grant of ₹5,000.

In the people creation category, the 3rd prize of ₹2,500 each was awarded to Lambani creation performers Paravathi Mallappa Sangoala and troupe from Bidar and Kamalibai and troupe from Yadgir.

Altogether, prizes worthy ₹30,000 were announced by the Dasara Tableaux Committee, headed by Mysuru Police Commissioner Seema Latkar.
